On July 2nd I cruised back from a family reunion in White Rock to Vancouver Island aboard the Spirit of BC, and the photo bug bit me… Here’s some tres canadiana photography! Enjoy, and happy belated Canada Day.
I have been coveting a DSLR for sometime, and my pining became particularly bad nearly two years ago when I started my fine arts diploma at Uvic. Last August I nearly purchased myself a Canon T2i for my birthday, but instead, I treated myself to a Macbook Air. Not quite a year later, I’ve purchased myself an early birthday gift… a T3i with the whole kit.
Here are some photos from my first day out. One thing is for certain, the inner harbour of Victoria BC is a beautiful place to live!
I love music, and I know what I like. I am free with both my positive and critical opinions, which unfortunately results in many people thinking I’m a snob. In particular when a band has a breakout album and then their next ones in my opinion aren’t as good, I come under fire for being either too committed to the earlier sound, an un-loyal fan or too sub-pop, or just plain elitist.
Currently I have two artists on the stereo regularly each of whom has two stand out albums. Queue up the listed Iron & Wine albums chronologically and the Parov Stelar albums in reverse chronological order, as depicted below, and be prepared for an auditory journey worth the trip.
